About this Document

This Acceptable Use Policy sets out the rules for using Data Tiles Ltd’s services, including its software platforms such as Latttice and related services.

This policy is designed to ensure the platform remains secure, lawful, and fair for all users. It explains what is expected when using Data Tiles platforms and how users can interact with the services responsibly.

This policy forms part of the applicable Software as a Service Agreement ("SaaS Agreement") between you and Data Tiles Ltd, a company incorporated in England and Wales ("Data Tiles", "we", "us", or "our").

1. Purpose

This Policy outlines the expectations and responsibilities that apply when using Data Tiles software platforms and related services (the "Service").

The purpose of this Policy is to support:

• safe and lawful use of the Service • protection of platform security and reliability • responsible handling of data and information • fair access for all users.

If any provision of this Policy conflicts with the Software as a Service Agreement, the SaaS Agreement will take precedence.

Data Tiles may update this Policy periodically to reflect changes in services, technology, or legal requirements. Continued use of the Service after updates take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

2. Compliance with Laws and Data Handling

Users must comply with all applicable laws and regulations when using the Service.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• data protection and privacy laws (including UK GDPR and EU GDPR) • intellectual property laws • consumer protection laws • export control and sanctions laws • anti-spam, anti-fraud, and cybercrime regulations.

Data Tiles platforms may support federated data models, meaning data may remain in external systems rather than being stored within the platform. However, certain features may allow data to be uploaded or processed within the platform environment.

In all cases, the Customer remains responsible for:

• ensuring that any data used with the Service is lawful and authorised • ensuring compliance with applicable data protection laws • obtaining necessary permissions or legal bases for processing personal data.

If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you are responsible for ensuring that your users comply with these obligations.

3. Platform Protection

To protect the integrity of the platform, users must not:

• reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the Services except where permitted by law • attempt to discover or reproduce platform algorithms, models, or architecture • use the Services to build or operate a competing product or service • attempt to replicate the functionality of Data Tiles platforms.

Users must not use the Service to train external artificial intelligence systems or models using platform outputs without explicit authorisation from Data Tiles.

4. Account Security

To maintain account and platform security, users must:

• provide accurate information when registering accounts • maintain the confidentiality of login credentials and API keys • not share accounts unless permitted by subscription terms • promptly report suspected unauthorised access or misuse.

Users are responsible for activities that occur under their account unless unauthorised access has been reported to Data Tiles without undue delay.

5. Customer Data Responsibility

Customers are responsible for the data they upload, connect, or process through the Service.

Customers must ensure that such data:

• complies with applicable laws and regulations • does not infringe the rights of third parties • is processed with appropriate permissions or legal basis.

Data Tiles does not monitor Customer Data and is not responsible for ensuring that Customer Data complies with legal or regulatory requirements.

Customers are responsible for determining whether the Service is appropriate for processing sensitive, regulated, or restricted data.

6. Prohibited Use

Users must not use the Service to:

• violate any applicable law or regulation • engage in fraudulent or deceptive activities • infringe intellectual property rights • distribute malware, viruses, or harmful code • gain unauthorised access to systems or data • disrupt or interfere with the platform’s operation • collect or process personal data without lawful authority • upload unlawful, abusive, or discriminatory content • scrape, extract, or harvest data from the platform without permission.

7. System Abuse and Interference

Users must not attempt to disrupt or abuse the platform infrastructure.

This includes attempting to:

• overload or flood the Service • probe or exploit system vulnerabilities • bypass platform security controls • access systems or data without authorisation.

Automated access is permitted only through authorised APIs or integrations provided by Data Tiles and must comply with applicable technical limits.

8. Use of Third Party Services

The Service may allow integration with third-party systems, applications, or data sources.

Where such integrations are used:

• customers remain responsible for their use of those services • customers must ensure third-party services comply with applicable laws • customers should review the privacy and security policies of those services.

Data Tiles is not responsible for the operation or data practices of third-party services connected to the platform.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Data Tiles makes no warranties regarding:

• uninterrupted availability • error free operation • performance or reliability.

Users acknowledge that the Service may evolve over time and that features, functionality, or availability may change.

10. Enforcement and Consequences

Data Tiles reserves the right to investigate potential violations of this Acceptable Use Policy.

If a violation occurs, or if platform use presents a legal, operational, or security risk, Data Tiles may take appropriate action, including:

• suspending or restricting access • removing content • terminating accounts in accordance with the applicable agreement.

Serious or repeated violations may result in immediate suspension or termination.

11. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any activity that may violate this Acceptable Use Policy or compromise the security of the Service, please notify Data Tiles promptly.

Where material changes occur, notice will be provided in accordance with the applicable Software as a Service Agreement.

Continued use of the Service after updates take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

13. Conflict with Other Agreements

This Acceptable Use Policy forms part of the applicable Software as a Service Agreement between the Customer and Data Tiles.

If any conflict exists between this Policy and the Software as a Service Agreement, the terms of the Software as a Service Agreement prevail.
