Editing Data Products via the Pin Board
After creating your Data Product, you may have further modification requirements.
Editing a Data Product in Latttice allows a user to edit individual data products once they’ve been created in CoPilot. The edit data product function is the same 6 step wizard you use when creating a data product (whether structured or unstructured). When editing a data product you can:
Summary. Modify the summary details of a data product such as it's name and description.
Data Sensitivity. Set the data sensitivity level. All data product are set as public by default. You can choose any of the four levels including public, internal only, confidential, and restricted, depending on the level of security required. Users will be required to have a matching level of sensitivity to access those data products.
Construction Detail. A user can view and modify data product construction components such as joins, filters, ABAC rules, and other inclusions.
User Guide. A user can add helpful hints and logic on how a data product can be used, so other users understand of why and how the data product should be utilized. They can also add/remove tags.
ABAC and FGA. Users can apply or remove attribute based controls (ABAC) to cater for a range of data quality, privacy, governance, quality, and enrichment scenarios. Fine grained access controls (FGA), can be applied to rows and columns of a data products, enabling one data product being able to be used across many users with differing access rights.
Recommendations. An AI agent analyzes your data products and will provide recommendations on data quality and data privacy treatments that you could include with your data product. If you have applied any during data product creation, they can be removed in the edit function (if necessary).
Accelerate. At times, you may find there are restrictions to accessing your data sources in real time, or in some scenarios it does not make sense to do so. For this purpose, you can utilize the accelerate function which will provide a local copy of the data required to support the data product. Then, when accessing this data product, Latttice will source data from this local copy instead of directly from your data source.
